Program

Global Connect 2009 planning is underway and those who attended Global Connect 2008 played a role in defining and shaping the kind of event they need to improve their conference experience. INNUA is working on even better educational programming to ensure that you bring takeaways back to your company after the event.

Program tracks include:

Customer Contact Center: Sessions in this learning track will offer solutions that enhance the way Automatic Call Distribution can route and answer calls in customer contact centers. It will familiarize attendees with best practices that will enhance skills based routing in your organization. In addition, sessions in this track will address the need to integrate using a wide range of hardware and software solutions and Customer Contact Channels such as in e-mail, instant messaging, fax, IVR servers, CRM, HR database and Outbound Dialing campaigns.

Data/Mobility: Sessions in this learning track offer knowledge pertaining to data networks. Sessions will cover issues involved with successfully managing the routers, switches and security in a network and the best solutions for mobile employees. During these sessions, attendees will get answers to help them create a plan for a successful migration to a mobility solution and to help you improve an existing mobility solution.

Professional Development and Management: Whether an associate, project manager or manager for Telephony and IT departments, these sessions are designed with to help attendees fine tune their soft skills. Sessions in this track will enable attendees to develop better communication and leadership skills and will provide guidance to make important decisions effectively. You can use these improved skills when you are leading your staff or working as a part of a team.

Technology Solutions: Sessions in this learning track to become knowledgeable about telephony and non telephony technical hardware and software solutions. You will be exposed to best practice solutions designed for a key system and PBX’s such as T-1 PRI programming and implementation, voice messaging, call accounting, E911 and move add and changes.

Unified Communications (UC): This track provides attendees with general information about Unified Communications such as, what UC means for networks and your organizations, how to improve business processes and workflows, what technologies are included in UC such as messaging, conferencing, collaboration, instant messaging and presence. Sessions will cover implementation concerns and how to create a plan for a successful migration to a UC solution.

VoIP/Convergence: Sessions in this learning track will highlight the protocols, engineering and implementation concerns that need to be considered when converging and will help attendees create a plan for a successful migration to VoIP, or enhance an existing VOIP infrastructure solution.

Meet the Experts/Executive Overview: Participants will participate in panel discussions with Nortel product experts and high-level industry executives during these sessions. Meet the Experts sessions are to be submitted by Nortel Employees only.

Nortel Product Roadmaps (NDA): The Nortel NDA sessions are an opportunity for Nortel customers and channel partners to hear the latest detailed information on Nortel solutions and product roadmap. Nortel Product Roadmap sessions are to be submitted by Nortel Employees only.
