GREEN AWARDS: for Creativity in Sustainbility - event in London, UKNow in its 4th year of the GREEN AWARDS™ is set in the world eco calendar as leading industry awards for sustainability in the marketing and communications. The GREEN AWARDS™ recognizes excellence in 16 categories in 2009, Best Green International Campaign open to participants worldwide Best Green Campaigner for individuals and small groups of defense of sustainability. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on 18 November with guest speaker Jonathon Porritt CBE.
Launched in 2006 to critical acclaim, the GREEN AWARDS™ were created to recognize and reward creative work that communicates the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainable development and ethical best practice in any sector and across any marketing discipline.

In the four years since its inception, the awards have become an established event on the global ecosystem, calendar highlighting the best examples of green marketing and sustainability of communications that have made a real difference in the fight against global warming.

Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, both the President of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Environment Agency, said: “The need to care for our planet, husband our resources wisely, and keep our environment is increasingly urgent and important. These awards help to that cause in the heart of our creative economy. They help us to reach higher. They reward and promote best practices, and as a result I give you the warmest welcome possible “.

The awards provided to illustrate the crucial role to be played by the media to information on environmental issues, products and lifestyles. It is clear now that there is a growing appetite for business and industry for examples of excellence and best practices in communicating sustainability and environmental issues that the Green Awards showcase.
