FME is a versatile tool that provides spatial ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) capability for both vector and raster data. With FME, geospatial professionals can manage and integrate vector and raster data with one single solution – and even within the same data transformation session.
This training course provides an Introduction to FME intended for new users of FME or users who wish to refresh their skills and allows you to get the most out of your software investment. Our trainer will guide you through the functionality of FME, offering you help, advice and tips to improve your data translations and transformations along the way. Our training courses can help open up a whole new world of possibilities for you!

Course prerequisites
The course is aimed at new users or those who wish to refresh their skills, so there are no FME prerequisite skills required to attend this course. An understanding of basic GIS principles as well as a fundamental understanding of one or more GIS or CAD software packages would be an advantage.

Customers who attend this course may also benefit from Advanced MapInfo Professional training.

Accreditation
This course is accredited by the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) and contributes towards achieving Chartered Geographer status. Delegates who attend are eligible to receive 6 CPD points towards their Continual Professional Development. Visit the AGI website or the Royal Geographical Society website for more information about the Chartered Geographer scheme.

Training Facilities
Our custom built training suite at Hanbury Court in North Worcestershire provides purpose built facilities for up to 12 delegates. Each delegate has the use of an up to date individual computer with TFT screen and the latest edition of the relevant software.

Disabled access – There is full disabled access to the building with dropped kerbs offering easy access. All training is conducted on the ground floor where a dedicated disabled washroom is also situated for your convenience. We are especially keen to welcome disabled guests and make their visit as comfortable as possible.

Car parking – There is ample free car parking on site.

Dietary requirements – All courses include lunch as well as mid morning and afternoon refreshments. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and those with other dietary requirements, providing we have advance notification.

Opening hours – Access to the building is available from 8:15am to 5:45pm on training days.

Internet access – Delegates can use the internet or check webmail on a dedicated machine in the Dotted Eyes reception area.

Taxis – Dotted Eyes staff are happy to help arrange a taxi for your return journey to your hotel or the train station if required.
