In a partnership agreement between SSWUG.ORG and SolidQ, a four-day, in-person class with hands-on labs on designing, developing and deploying analytical solutions using SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services (SSAS) will be offered on Feb. 21-24 in Irving, Texas.
During this 2 day seminar we shall be looking at the most significant changes. We shall begin with an installation of the GRID infrastructure. Following this we install the necessary RDBMS software.
In this session the speaker, a DBA of 14 years explains when you decide partitioning for tables and indexes, which partitioning options to choose depending on the problem you are trying to solve – purge, performance, archival, backup or whatever else; potential issues to watch out for and so on.
