Event Agenda
Pre Conference Workshop – Monday 7 September 2009
09.00 “Enabling the path to LTE: Leveraging superior network intelligence for smooth and faster roll out of LTE network and services”
Key benefit: This workshop will provide a fresh perspective on LTE development and deployment issues and challenges with an exploration of the most advanced and innovative test and monitoring tools and techniques, illustrating a path to LTE through the whole technology lifecycle, from initial design test in the labs to troubleshooting and network management tasks in operation. At the end of the workshop participants will gain a deep understanding of the most evolved techniques and trends in LTE test and monitoring and will be able to master the challenges posed by the evolution of modern wireless technologies with particular attention to the impact of network maintenance strategies on the business case.
Why this subject is important right now: The exponential data traffic increase in current and future networks dictated by 3G+ services requirements, the complexity of access networks, and high customer expectations in terms of quality of service are all driving a significant need for a new and innovative end-to-end mobile Network Test and Monitoring approach. The ability to increase network performances and reduce operating costs at the same time, will be a key to manufacturers and operators’ success.
What people will gain:
After attending the workshop people will have awreness of how to use innovative solutions that allow to:
* identify areas of quality degradation faster and more efficiently
* increase operational efficiency by reducing time to network problem resolution
* reduce time spent on complex analysis of network data and focus attention directly to those network performance data which provides a timely identification of potential sources of revenue loss
* find the right balance between quality and coverage as traffic loads increase
* minimize capital and operational expenditures
* turn network data into actionable information faster to increase QoE more efficiently
* use effectively data aggregation, dashboards and KPI trend analysis
