You’ve just got the idea for the world’s coolest Android app, but unfortunately Android Market reputation for being the place with the free apps. So how can you as a developer make money?
For this GeekNight we will look at two alternatives to pure pay apps, namely banner ads and in-app payments. We will see how easy it is to implement Google’s in-app payment module and advertising Framework, AdWhirl in an app and we’ll discuss the pros and cons of both frameworks.
Finally, we will look at the consequences especially in-app payment for building an app – both in terms of functionality and user interface.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of design of Android apps.
